I have mixed feelings about it, and I have mixed feelings about a priest needing to be involved for her to act. I imagine that this scene may be more satisfying for religious viewers - that God will be there for those who call on His name. In this one, the assistance of God was required for her to escape her grave and fall into tunnels to commit her vengeance. Unlike the first movie, the victim committed vengeance all on her own. Lots of emphasis on the fact that the main character was suffering. But, I guess it's okay to loose some of that as long as its gory. The natural human incentives was lost on the part of Bulgarians were lost. and by Bulgarians? I thought they were gonna kill her on the spot or burn the house.

We know Goergy was horny, but why rape? We can see that she can be sold, but why did she have to be sold. What has lost me though is the knowing what motives of the harassers. Convinced! The acting of the abusers being cold-foreign men? Not so convincing - eyes rolling. Okay, we got the shaking of terror and loud screaming. It wasn't very convincing, and the facial expressions (except for the screaming) were pretty quiet. Oh, no! (sarcasm) But, my heart goes out to those who have suffered watching her suffer. Yeah, I'm "sure" the directors and actors were "jacking off" after every scene they filmed (sarcasm). Yeah, we get it: the first half is really graphic. We needed to stand with her when she was brutally tortured, and we can feel satisfied knowing the harassers got what they deserve, and God has allowed her to cast His vengeance and set her free. Miyozaki believed that censorship of violence lessen the sympathy of suffering of abuse, torture, and misconduct. I see this movie as healing for people who were victims of sexual abuse, misconduct, torture, etc. It's because of the ending, and the second half of the movie, I feel like it was well deserved.

I see a lot of comments stated that people who like the films are disgusting individuals who "enjoy" people getting brutally raped and human trafficked.
